Has anybody found some good riding besides the desert and Black Rock to ride? I'm looking for something around Pocatello that isn't too muddy.

How much snow is on the west bench? Might be able to do some around trail creek. Nice blog dad!
I think that Trail Creek is open. The rest are supposed to open on Monday.
Had a great ride on Monday with John, Casey, Travis & Jason in Blackrock. I got there a bit late so didn't catch up with them until later. I saw a cow moose and calf. She was so tame I could hardly get her to move off the trail. I know they can be a bit fisty, especially with a calf so I kept a bit of distance and beeped my horn. She finally mosied off and I rode by.
I rode about 20 miles mostly new ones I hadn't been on before. This time of year it is amazingly lush and green. There is some great riding up there and still more to explore.
When I got up with the others it was drizzling rain. John and his friend Gary decided they had had enough, but the rest of us took another loop. We were pretty soaked by then and the trail was beginning to get greasy. There were quite a few other bikes and fourwheelers up there. I gave out some cards of my website.
Great blog. I am just coming to Idaho Falls after living in California most of my working life. I was raised in Blackfoot and have been a dirt bike rider for a long time. Your blog is just what I needed to find trails to ride in Idaho.
Thanks
Bob
